Keeping Focus on the Web

There’s more than one way to skin a cat and that goes for the web, too. If you’re looking for medical information on your wireless internet connection you may find yourself overwhelmed with all the information out there. Here are a few tips and tricks for staying on the right track:
Get on Message Boards: If you’re seeking preliminary information on a disease or symptoms you’ve got to get online to the chat rooms to see what other people are saying. Don’t take their advice for a doctor’s, though, and always get the final word from a professional.
Check out the Big Sites: Sites like WebMD are great for learning more about a specific condition or medicine and they’re relatively reliable, too. Get online and do some research before you approach your doctor so you feel well informed.
Email Your Doctor: If your doctor allows, email him or her to ask about specific symptoms. They probably prefer communicating this way because it’s less intrusive and you can even set up an appointment online if necessary.
